Svafa Einarsdóttir began working at Hlutverkasetur in 2011. She teaches clay-sculpting and assists with the preparation of art exhibitions and happenings.

Svafa graduated with an Art.Ed. degree and has mostly been living in the UK. She moved there after finishing a degree in ceramics at Iceland’s University of the Arts—three decades ago. In the UK she ran a popular glass and clay workshop but moved back to Iceland in 2009 to further her education at Iceland’s University of the Arts.

Svafa is very efficient, selfless, honest, firm and has a dark but a funny sense of humor. She runs her own ceramic workshop and an art gallery in Reykjavík and has a part-time job at The Reykjavík School of Visual Arts.
